Research activites will be carried out in the framework of the Horizon 2020 Project «EUMEPLAT-European Media Platforms: Assessing Positive and Negative Externalities for European Culture» [2021-2024, Reference Number: 101004488]. Coordinator: IULM University, Milan, Italy. Scientific Responsible: prof. Andrea Miconi. The one-year contract [with a possible second year, according to Italian formula] will come with a full-time commitment. The researcher will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, prof. Andrea Miconi, and that of the colleguaes responsibile for related work-packages and tasks. EUMEPLAT is a three-year project, offering a unique opportunity for international research expwrience, with the participation of: Hans-Bredow-Institut of Hamburg; National and Kapodistrian University of Athens; ISCTE-Lisbon; New Bulgarian University, Sofia; UNIMED-Union of Mediterranean Universities; University of Gent; Bilkent University of Ankara; Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Barcelona; Ca’ Foscari University of Venice; IKED-International Organisation for Knowledge Economy and Enterprise Development, Malmö; Charles University in Prague. *Job Description* The title of the research activity/contract to be assigned is *“**European Media Platforms: Historical Trends and Discourse Analysis”*. Research tasks will include: -First-hand research on fake news: survey on both professional and user-generated news contents on social media; -Second-hand analysis on video platforms: video production, distribution and consumption across Europe; -Aggregated analysis; -Content analysis: representation of gender in social media platforms; -Content analysis: representation of immigrants in social media platforms.
