Associates Programme

Many people in the Drum Beat network enquire about where they can do advanced training in Communication and Media Development/Development Communication. If you are running in-depth or University degree courses please do contact us with details. We would love to explore with you including them in The Communication Initiative process perhaps through the Associates programme

A recent example of this is the new Master of Science in Globalization and Development Communication from Temple University which is now a CI Associate

This Masters commences in the fall/autumn of 2014. The program includes research skills and theory with a heavy emphasis on practice. It will involve a practicum experience. The aim is to bridge the gap between academia and practitioners, policymakers, and project managers. Scholarships and other forms of support to students are being investigated.Please click here for links to further details on the course and/or to contact Tom Jacobsen/Caitlin Gamble who are the main people behind this initiative.As indicated above, in support of the growing need and demand being expressed by the network for communication, media and development related learning we would welcomesharing your courses and programmes perhaps through the Associates process (as most of these courses will be fee based of course).
