| 6. Reaching Out to Teen Mothers Initiative |
| Save the Children (SC)’s adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) Malawi programming worked with young people, their families, and communities to educate youth about SRH, to build the teens’ skills in decision-making and life choices, and to provide the means to prevent unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV. For example, SC set up Teen Mothers Clubs (TMCs) to provide young mothers with a venue in which to discuss their common concerns – openly and without stigma. |

| 7. Farm Radio Weekly [FRW] |
| Through a newsletter and a website, FRW strives to provide rural radio organisations in sub-Saharan Africa with news and resources that help them meet the information needs of small-scale farmers and farming families. According to the organisers, FRW is designed to serve the needs of rural broadcasters and their listeners and invites contributions: articles for «News in Review», news about organisations, upcoming events and/or conferences, or any other content of interest to farming communities. |

| 8. Men Care: A Global Fatherhood Campaign |
| Men Care is a global campaign to promote men’s involvement as equitable, responsive, and non-violent fathers and caregivers. | Implemented through a consortium of international and Indian partner NGOs, Samastha sought to provide comprehensive HIV services in 12 high-prevalence rural districts and 3 urban centres in Karnataka, India, as well as 5 coastal districts in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. It created linkages between workers and other outreach workers: Link workers, who were people living with HIV (PLHIV), used communication to work on prevention, stigma reduction, and support for PLHIV that included adherence support to both treatment and care. | 12. The Impact of Television and Radio on Reproductive Behaviour and on HIV/AIDS Knowledge and Behaviour |
| This report shares findings of a study by MEASURE DHS to examine the association of radio and television exposure with different aspects of reproductive behaviour and HIV/AIDS. The general conclusion is that greater media exposure is associated with a desire for fewer children, higher rates of contraceptive use, and fewer births. Greater media exposure also is associated with more knowledge about causes and prevention of HIV/AIDS, as well as with supportive attitudes toward people who are HIV-positive. [Dec 2011] |
