In news to be revealed tomorrow, June 21, Qumu found that four out of five (81.6%) corporate communicators say it is difficult to communicate with coworkers when they are out of the office.
And a further 77.1% say adoption of technologies that enable a mobile workforce would increase efficiency.
Those are a few of the key findings from Qumu’s 2012 Survey of Corporate Communicators, including what they’d like to keep confidential and which industries are benefiting most by adopting video communication.
The survey found that a whopping 96% of corporate communicators think it is important to keep some videos confidential, including:
- CEO address announcing company finances – 84%
- Descriptions of future products – 73%
- Corporate sales videos – 57%
Additionally, corporate communicators said that the sweet spot for length of corporate videos should be 2-4 minutes and that the most valuable use of video in the enterprise is sharing events from tradeshows.
This comes alongside the release of Qumu’s new Video Control Center (VCC) Platform, which is aimed at solving the mobile video challenge.
If you are interested in the story, I can provide an interview with Qumu. Additionally, a full copy of the study announcing the results can be found here.
