Dear WIP Friends,
As you know, the 2011 WIP Annual Meeting will be held in Mexico City for the first time. The dates will be July 5, 6 and 7, 2011. The place, the Campus Estado de Mexico of the Tecnologico de Monterrey. This is one of the most beautiful Campuses of all the system. The Campus Estado de Mexico is located on the north part of the Metropolitan Area of Mexico City, in the municipality of Atizapan, 35 km away from Mexico City’s International Airport. It is the third biggest campus within the ITESM system with more than 8 thousand students and 400 professors.
Since we want to receive all WIP members and special guests we are making arrangements to make your stay in Mexico as enjoyable as possible. For that reason we have chosen the Camino Real Hotel(Perinorte), which is located 15 minutes away from the Campus. This Hotel is near a commercial area that will allow you to combine business and pleasure. Later we will inform you about special rates and facilities.
Our Mexican team is also planning an interesting tour to explore some of the unique sites and attractions that Mexico City has to offer. Here you will find some of most extraordinary archeological sites in the Western Hemisphere (such as the pyramids of Teotihuacan) the major cultural and historical attractions in the Centro Historico (such as The Zócalo or Constitution Square, The Metropolitan Cathedral, the ruins of the Great Temple of the Aztecs, and the National Palace with its murals by Diego Rivera), the monuments of Reforma Avenue, and the museums of Chapultepec Park (including the National Museum of Anthropology, the Museum of Modern Art, theRufino Tamayo Museum of Contemporary Art, and the National History Museum, located in the famed Castle of Chapultepec).
