    Concordia University in Irvine, CA has chosen Hobsons’ EMT Retain to help improve the institution’s early alert intervention and retention rates. Concordia said it hopes to use the application to identify and consistently communicate with students before they’re lost to attrition. More

  • Georgia Tech To Collaborate with Semiconductor Research on Chip Development

    Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta is partnering with Semiconductor Research Corp. to create a $2.5 million research center focused on transistor interconnects and chip packaging. The Interconnect and Packaging Center (IPC) will bring academia, industry, and government together to develop faster performing chips that are more energy efficient. More

  • U South Florida Automates Processes for Human Subject Research

    The University of South Florida (USF) will use Click Commerce’s eResearch Portal to automate Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes for human subject research. USF will streamline and strengthen IRB processes across the institution’s multiple research communities in the first of a series of research automation initiatives to be rolled out over the next two and a half years. More

  • April Competition Tests Students on Application of Technology

    Students from Arizona’s colleges and universities will compete in a tech competition this April that will challenge them to develop innovative solutions to address global concerns: building a green energy lamp and using technology to address humanitarian needs such as world hunger, homelessness, and global education. More

    The 3D Interconnect Program located at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) of the University at Albany in New York has a new participant. Nexx Systems, which manufacturers process equipment for advanced wafer-level packaging, will be participating on research on innovative electrodeposition technology and the development of high yield, low cost copper electroplating solutions that will enable high density 3D through-silicon-vias (TSVs). More
