Are you ready for the “Mobile First Era?»
Sorry for this massive email, but it is about a massive course :-). As you may know, we at the Knight Center at the University of Texas at Austin have been launching massive open online courses in journalism since October 2012. More than 40,000 people from about 160 countries have registered in 10 MOOCs so far. Each MOOC is an amazing learning community of people from all over the world. I wonder if you can give me a hand this time. I have very little resources for this program and it would be great if you could help us spread the word about the next MOOC that starts on Monday, June 30: “Introduction to Mobile Journalism.” We already have more than 2,300 people registered from dozens of countries, but with your help we can benefit more people with this free program. The Mobile Journalism MOOC is a five week online course open to anyone from anywhere in the world at no cost. I am sending you this message because I think you really know people who can benefit from this program. Please do not hesitate to use your Twitter, Facebook and any of your networks to help us. Please follow the links below for more information, and let me know if you have any questions or comments. Sorry to bother you with this message, but I really appreciate your consideration. Cheers.
