11,256 New Zeland, PhD scholarships are available

On behalf of a colleague….

Two PhD scholarships are available as part of a Marsden-funded grant on digital technologies and collective action. The grant, titled “Activism, technology and Organising: Transformations in Collective Action in Aotearoa New Zealand” is led by Professor Shiv Ganesh, School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing, Massey University. The scholarships cover a three year period, and comprise 26,000 NZD in living expenses, plus tuition fees. Students will have the opportunity to craft a PhD thesis related to the broad topic of the grant, work collaboratively with an international team of investigators on the project, and present their work at international conferences.  Ideal applicants will have demonstrated familiarity with the process of conducting original research, will possess qualifications in communication or related fields, and will meet Massey University’s criteria for admission into doctoral programs. Applications to the Ph.D. program at Massey are on a rolling basis and can be made at any time in the academic year. For more details, potential applicants should contact Prof Ganesh ats.n.ganesh@massey.ac.nz<mailto:s.n.ganesh@massey.ac.nz>, include a sample of original academic writing as well as a detailed CV, and outline why they believe they are well suited for this scholarship. Applications will be considered until suitable candidates are found.
