Figure/Ground Communication’s 100th scholarly interview is with Collin Gifford Brooke. Dr. Brooke is an Associate Professor of Rhetoric and Writing in the Writing Program at Syracuse University, where he directed that department’s doctoral program in Composition and Cultural Rhetoric for roughly 5 years. He is the author of <goog_510551720>Lingua Fracta: Towards a Rhetoric of New Media (Hampton Press, 2009), which received the 2010 Computers and Composition Award for Outstanding Book. He served as the Associate/Online Editor for College Composition and Communication for 3 years, and has published in a variety of edited collections and journals, including CCC, JAC, Kairos, Enculturation, and Computers and Composition Online. His current research interests center on the digital humanities, genre studies, games, and networks.
