Barbie Zelizer, Ph.D.
Barbie Zelizer, Ph.D., the Raymond Williams Professor of Communication, is the recipient of the Media Ecology Association’s 2012 Marshall McLuhan Award for Outstanding Book in the Field of Media Ecology for her 2010 book About to Die: How News Images Move the Public (Oxford University Press). Prof. Zelizer is the first member of Annenberg’s faculty to receive this award, which has been given out every year since 2000.
