Many of you may have seen this already, but for those who haven’t, the New York Times recently had an interesting piece on the «digital divide» (see link below). It includes an excellent apropriation, whether she knew it or not, of McLuhan’s insight into the extending reach of media.
“Not only does [technological access] not solve problems, it mirrors and magnifies existing problems we’ve been ignoring.”
