As some of you may know, Hampton Press is publishing a new collection of essays titled OF ONG AND MEDIA ECOLOGY: ESSAYS IN COMMUNICATION, COMPOSITION, AND LITERARY STUDIES, edited by me and Paul A. Soukup.
It will come as no surprise to you to learn that this new collection is being published in the Media Ecology Series.
But how many of you know that a book has been published in English in Germany with the words «media ecology» in its title? The book just recently came to my attention.
The book is Marinus Iwuchukwu’s MEDIA ECOLOGY AND RELIGIOUS PLURALISM: ENGAGING WALTER ONG AND JACQUES DUPUIS TOWARD EFFECTIVE INTERRELIGIOUS DIALOGUE (Koln, Germany: Lambert Academic Publishing, 2010).
Both Walter Ong and Jacques Dupuis were Jesuit priests.
Marinus Chijioke Iwuchukwu’s 2010 book is the revised version of his 2008 doctoral dissertation at Marquette University, the Jesuit university in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. Iwuchukwu is currently an assistant professor of theology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
