Congratulations to Eric McLuhan, who received an honorary Doctor of Sacred Letters degree from the University of Toronto’s St. Michael’s College as part of their Convocation ceremony, and also to Bob Logan, who soon will be made a Fellow of the college, and marched in the procession. It was great to see them both, and other media ecologists including Alex Kuskis and Elena Lamberti, and I’m looking forward to the next five days of McLuhan festivities here in Toronto.
And I thought I’d just share a couple of McLuhan related items here. One is a little video I did, based on a Pecha Kucha presentation, called «The Medium is…», in celebration of the McLuhan Centenary:
The presentation was prepared at the request of Mary Ann Allison for last month’s New York State Communication Association conference, although I also did it at the Media @ the Center Marshall McLuhan Centenary Symposium at Fordham in September. I included the text of the presentation on a blog post, in case you want to read it:

I also was the guest on a radio show about McLuhan, Too Much Information on WFMU, and there also was a call in with one of the organizers of Occupy Wall Street:
