Dear colleague,
we would like to kindly invite you to the VERITAS 2nd Pan-European User Forum – «Defining simulation task models for accessible everyday solutions, designed for all» user Forum on Tuesday 20th September 2011, Nottingham, UK.
VERITAS, the European project aiming to improve the design of smart and accessible living spaces through virtual user and task models, foresees the organization of User Fora which aim to bring together on the one hand the developers and designers, and on the other hand the beneficiaries of the developed products and services, namely people with disabilities and older people.
The 2nd VERITAS User Forum will take place in Nottingham on 20th September 2011, ahead of the Joint Virtual Reality Conference (JVRC 2011 ). This event will build on the outcomes of the 1st VERITAS User Forum which took place in Prague in November 2010 and refined the VERITAS use cases.
This User Forum is intended to attract:
– End-users (people with disabilities, older people);
– Designers from the automotive, home and working environment, ehealth, and infotainment area;
– Representatives from end-user organizations;
– Policy makers.
During this highly participative User Forum you will be introduced to the VERITAS project, followed by a first demonstration of how accessible design can be simulated in the automotive, working and home environment. You will as such co-influence the project development and, through your input, expertise and feedback as users and designers of accessible solutions, ensure that the developed applications respond to real user needs
The 2nd User forum will take place on Tuesday 20th November from 13h00 till 17h00, hosted at Crown Plaza in Nottingham.
