DEADLINE AUG. 31: Seeking submissions for journal of research on women and gender
The Center for Multicultural and Gender Studies and the Women and Gender Research Collaborative at Texas State University-San Marcos launched a peer-reviewed electronic journal March 25, 2009. THE JOURNAL OF RESEARCH ON WOMEN AND GENDER IS published annually and available for free over the World Wide Web. Scholars both national and international are encouraged to submit manuscripts documenting women’s experiences and analyzing the significance of gender. The journal is an inter-disciplinary entity reflecting qualitative research, quantitative research, pedagogical works, and creative projects.

Original articles up to 6500 (normally between 2000 and 6000) words required. Articles should be submitted electronically, as HTML documents, or as Microsoft Word files. Graphics should be either in Gif or JPEG format. All tables should be formatted using the Table tool (versus using tabs). All submissions should include a title page with the author’s name, the title of the manuscript, abstract, university affiliation, mail and e-mail addresses, and telephone numbers. The body of the manuscript should include a header with an abbreviated title and page numbers. As much as possible typescript should conform to the style set forth in the Publications Manual of the American Psychological Association, Chicago Manual of Style, or Modern Language Association. Articles will be reviewed blindly by two or three editorial board members.
