A Limited Number of Summer 2010 Internships
Available at COHA
The Council on Hemispheric Affairs is currently in the final phase of accepting applications for summer volunteer internships with the highly regarded foreign policy and analysis organization in its Washington office. Applications from well-prepared candidates with solid research and writing skills, who are prepared to commit themselves to vigorous standards of investigative journalism, social values and sound academic research, are being solicited for evaluation.
COHA interns are held in high esteem by specialists in the field of U.S.-Latin American and Canadian studies. Its internship program has won awards, honors and recognition due to former interns who have gone on to pursue eminent careers once they concluded their Washington internships. Because of space limitations, COHA internships are awarded on a very competitive basis. Normally the internship corps consists of about 28 scholars selected from hundreds of applications coming from all over the globe and from every part of the U.S. COHA’s internship program allows it to end up being served by one of the largest and most diversified bodies of young Washington-based scholars working in the field of inter-American affairs. Applicants are selected on a rolling basis; however, applying early is a key factor in being successfully placed.
