Festival dates: August 21st to 29th, 2009.
The Monterrey International Film Festival is one of the most important film events in Mexico. It screens international feature films in competition (fiction and documentary), retrospectives, international short films in competition (fiction, documentary and animation), documentaries with social relevance and homages to personalities of world cinema.

– Feature Fiction Film in Competition
– Feature Documentary Film in Competition
– Feature Film from Nuevo León in Competition.
– Short Film Fiction in Competition.
– Short Film Documentary in Competition.
– Short Film Animation in Competition.
– Short Film from Nuevo León.
– Social Vision: Films for a Better World.
The awarded Films of each category will receive a “Cabrito de Plata”, the Official Award of the Monterrey International Film Festival, and the prizes that the sponsors give.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
– There is no entry fee in any case.
– All original formats are accepted.
– The production date of the submitted films must be 2008 or 2009.
– Films from any nationality are accepted.
