The Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) invites nominations and applications for the position of Full Time Tenure Track Professor for the Information and Communication Program.

UDEM is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Mexican Federation of Private Institutions of Higher Education (FIMPES)1. The Universidad de Monterrey is a private institution of catholic inspiration, founded in 1969 and located in San Pedro Garza García, N.L., México. It offers 35 baccalaureate, 15 master’s degree and 39 medical specialities.

The candidate must respond to the following characteristics:

Minimum requirements:

  • Ph.D in Communication or Mass Media (ABD can also apply)
  • Professional experience in T.V. production
  • Educational experience in bachelor and/or graduate degree in

    Communication

  • Spanish and English languages required
  • Interested in teaching/research

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and contribute to the international projection of academic activities of the Communication Department
  • Ability to get resources through video production projects
  • Teach at the Information and Communication Program at bachelor and/or graduate levels
  • Advise and supervise students’ work

Qualifications:

  • Teaching skills to communicate knowledge and motivation to the students in the area of TV production.
  • Excellent attitude and disposition to constant improvement as a consequence of self motivation.
  • Fundraising experience.
  • International perspective of the discipline’s trends.
  • Creativity and proactive style of work oriented to the future.

Salary is competitive and proportionate to qualifications and experience.
